  • How much do dry cleaning cost?
Dry cleaning pricing can vary depending on many factors, including the type of clothes you want to dry clean and how dirty they are. Please contact us to get a quote.
  • What is dry cleaning?
Dry cleaning refers to a method of cleaning clothing and textiles without water. Instead, a liquid solvent is used. This process is swift and especially effective at removing grease and oil stains. Apart from identifying garments and packaging orders, there are three primary stages involved in dry cleaning your textiles: Pre-treatment and Inspection: During this stage, the garments are carefully inspected for stains, fabric type, and any necessary repairs. Cleaning & spotting: The actual dry-cleaning process occurs here, where the solvent is used to remove dirt, stains, and odours. Finishing and Packaging: After cleaning, the garments are pressed, steamed, and prepared for return to the customer.
  • Why didn’t the stain come out?
There are several reasons why a stain might not come out of a garment during the cleaning process or stain removal: Set Stains: If a stain has been in the fabric for a long time, it can become more challenging to remove. Previous Treatment: Sometimes, a stain has been worked on before reaching the dry cleaner, and the water or chemicals used may have set the stain further into the fabric. Ink Stains: Certain types of ink stains are stubborn and not easily removed from specific fabrics. Unstable Dyes: Fabric dyes can be unstable, risking discoloration during cleaning. Avoid Water: It’s essential not to apply water or other solutions to the stain; instead, bring the item to a professional cleaner promptly. Fresh Stains: Generally, fresh stains are easier to remove.
  • This stain was not here when I brought the garment in. Why is it here now?
It’s quite common for stains to become more noticeable during the cleaning process. The heat and cleaning solutions can cause stains to react and oxidize, making them darker and more visible. Stains with acidic or sugar-based components are particularly damaging to fabrics, especially natural fibres.
  • Why do I have to pay for this garment when the stain didn’t come out?
Your garment received extra care during the cleaning process. We diligently attempted to remove the stains, going through pre-spotting and cleaning multiple times. Our goal is to avoid damaging the fabric while still addressing the stains. Interestingly, working on challenging garments actually costs us more due to the time, effort, and materials involved.
  • What does dry cleaning do that laundering at home doesn’t?
A key distinction between dry cleaning and home laundering lies in the use of solvents. Dry cleaning employs fluids (solvents) to remove substances from textiles, a process that home laundering with water cannot replicate. Notably, dry cleaning effectively dissolves greases and oils.
  • Can I remove the care label from my clothing?
Care labels serve as guidance for both customers and cleaners regarding care and cleaning methods. While some cleaners decline to clean garments without care labels, others may require a consent form before proceeding. Regardless, we’re here to evaluate any garment—whether it has a care label or not—and provide advice on the best cleaning process.
  • How soon should I get my clothes cleaned after wearing them?
It is advisable to get your clothes at your earliest in order to avoid yellowing, discolouration and weakening of the fabric. Notably, hard to remove stains like those from food, drink and perspiration typically set in within 48 hours.
  • Why dry clean?
Dry cleaning offers several advantages: Convenience: Instead of spending hours washing, drying, sorting, and ironing laundry, you can simply drop off your clothes and pick them up after dry cleaning. This frees up time for more important things in life. No Ironing: Our professional finishing ensures garments are wrinkle-free, crisp, and look new—beating ironing any day. Stain Removal: Our experts understand precise stain removal methods. For the best results while ensuring garment safety, bring stained items to us for advice. Fabric Care: Different fabrics require specific laundering treatments. Dry cleaners have the knowledge to care for various types of clothing effectively. Longevity: Dry cleaning extends the life of garments by removing stains and preventing rapid wear caused by dirt.
